DESCRIPTION:SoundCellar are delighted to join forces with Sandy Hill Arts to present the vibrant African influenced jazz of Thokozile. This gig will take place in a completely weather-proof marquee\, in the beautiful unique setting of Sandy Hill Arts in the shadow of Dorset’s iconic Corfe Castle. \nThis gig will take place at Sandy Hill Arts\, Sandy Hill Lane\, Corfe Castle\, Dorset BH20 5JF. \nPlease note: There is no onsite parking at Sandy Hill Arts. Please use the nearby National Trust car park (on A351 opposite the castle mound – on the left when approaching from Wareham).\n \nNote: the venue and facilities are wheelchair accessible at Sandy Hill Arts\, including ‘blue badge’ parking \nTicket link below \nThokozile were formed on the back of a British Council music exchange back to South Africa in 2010. They recently performed a sold out gig at The Lighthouse Poole to celebrate the release of their long awaited eponymous debut album. The band have built up a loyal following and are bringing to Sandy Hill Arts their trademark melodic saxophone and jangly guitars\, along with a kicking rhythm section. Expect joyful\, melodic jazz for the feet as well as the heart! \nDan Somogyi – keyboards/guitar\nTerry Quinney – saxophone\nRob Palmer – guitar\nJack Shaughnessy – bass\nNeil Evans – drums\nCheikh Diop – percussion \nEntry is £16 (this includes booking fee) in advance through the below link.
