We are excited to be working in partnership with Studio Jazz at the Lighthouse again, to co-present the incredible composer / bassist DANIEL CASIMIR and his superb band, including star saxophonist Binker Golding, plus the exquisite vocals of Ria Moran.

A graduate / post-graduate of Birmingham and Trinity Laban Conservatoires, Daniel comes to Poole with his most recent album ‘Balance’ receiving significant critical acclaim, similar to the well-warranted plaudits for his debut album ‘Boxed In’, which received the 2022 Parliamentary Jazz Album of the Year award.
Daniel was named the 2021 Jazz FM ‘Instrumentalist of the Year’ and he is the ‘go-to’ bassist for A-list jazz stars such as Nubya Garcia, Camilla George and others. In addition to regular gigging, he made high-profile appearances with his big band in 2025 at the prestigious Cheltenham Jazz and Love Supreme Festivals, plus at Ronnie Scott’s. His star is undoubtedly on the rise!
Daniel brings a top-class band to Poole, including SoundCellar returnees drummer Jamie Murray and trumpeter James Copus, plus first time appearances for star saxophonist Binker Golding, keys player James Beckwith and super vocalist Ria Moran, whose own debut album ‘Cubico’ was released in July 2025

Just show your ticket for that evening’s performance (the ticket QR code on your phone, or a printout). A table must be booked here or tel: 01202 741463 and food orders placed at least 60 minutes prior to the start time of the gig (eg by 6:30pm for a 7:30pm start).
(2) For young people: (i) U18s – FREE entry when accompanied by an adult; (ii) Age 18 to 25 – entry £10 (with NUS / TOTUM card). Simply select the relevant ticket option when booking. The offers are available for most of our gigs – please check individual listings for details. They are subject to seat availability, so for some gigs, it’s best to book early to avoid disappointment.
Parking is free at The Grasshopper but you must register your vehicle at the bar.
