We are very excited at SoundCellar to be launching our inaugural collaboration with Studio Jazz at Lighthouse Poole with three of the leading musicians on the UK’s contemporary music scene: Jazz FM 2025 ‘Vocalist of the Year’ ALICE ZAWADZKI, FRED THOMAS and MISHA MULLOV-ABBADO

Though all three have worked together in other ensembles and on each other’s individual projects, Alice, Fred and Misha have now recorded their debut album Za Górami, released on the iconic label ECM Records. The album has received widespread critical acclaim, including a nomination for ‘Best Album’ in the 2025 Jazz FM Awards.
Alice Zawadzki is very familiar to SoundCellar audiences as an outstanding vocalist, violinist, pianist and songwriter, with two super albums under her own name; 2014’s ‘China Lane’ and 2019’s ‘Within You Is A World Of Spring’. She was recently awarded ‘Vocalist of the Year’ in the 2025 Jazz FM Awards and has received numerous other awards and nominations from prestigious bodies such as the Parliamentary Jazz Awards and the Royal Philharmonic Society.
Fred Thomas is regarded as one of the UK’s finest musicians, as well as a sought-after arranger and producer. His repertoire covers everything from UK and European folk, to jazz and to his critically acclaimed interpretations of the works of J.S. Bach. Fred is an ECM artist and has collaborated with a whole host of performers ranging from Brian Eno, to Shabaka Hutchings, to Yo-Yo Ma and many others.
Misha Mullov-Abbado is one of the most in-demand bassists on the jazz circuit and has played at SoundCellar on a number of occasions. In addition to leading his own ensembles and releasing three albums under his own name, he also regularly performs alongside his world-famous classical violinist mother Viktoria Mullova. Misha’s repertoire ranges from popular music, to jazz, to his classical compositions for cello and full orchestra.

Just show your ticket for that evening’s performance (the ticket QR code on your phone, or a printout). A table must be booked here or tel: 01202 741463 and food orders placed at least 60 minutes prior to the start time of the gig (eg by 6:30pm for a 7:30pm start).
(2) For young people: (i) U18s – FREE entry when accompanied by an adult; (ii) Age 18 to 25 – entry £10 (with NUS / TOTUM card). Simply select the relevant ticket option when booking. Parking is free at The Grasshopper but you must register your vehicle at the bar.
