Here’s what some of the UK’s best known musicians have said about the band:
“They sound great, they play great, and damn it they look great too. [SOBN] deftly deliver intrigue and soulful lines in remarkably tidy unison and then dazzle with their virtuosic improvisations, all the while driven by a top flight rhythm section. Don’t miss any opportunity to see and indeed hear The Sound of BlueNote” – Nigel Price
“The Sound of BlueNote take their lead from the greatest recordings from the iconic jazz label…Slick ensemble passages alternate with inspired solos to bring this exceptional material very much to life! This may be a celebration of a golden musical age but in a modern and very relevant context.” – Alan Barnes
The Sound of BlueNote are:
Terry Quinney – saxophone
Andy Urquhart – trumpet
Phil Doyle – piano
Ben Taylor – bass
Andy Chapman – drums
